What do I want Where do I stand is a group exhibition of current 4th year and Honours students at Elam School of Fine Art, hosted at 223 Symonds Street. Offsite is the online component of this show. It hosts a number of art works and projects within this web-space, listed under WORKS. In addition to the exhibition at 223 Symonds St and this online space, there is work displayed in the community garden, up the road at 259 Symonds St.
There will also be a series of events held during the duration of the show:
Lara Thomas, For the Love of Bees, biking bee/herbal teas and conversation in the Symonds St Junction Community Garden 10.30-12 Sat Oct 1st.
Winifred Edgar-Booty & Bronte Heron, garden poems, Sunday 25th Sept. 1pm, meet at Black Note, then walking to community garden.
Avigail Allan, Jewspace Yidparty, Sept 23rd. Collaborative performance with DJ BabyZionov, video projection and dj set. Dance party. Invite only.
Daisy Wells & Robyn Jordaan – Bedlam, 6pm 28th Sept. 223 Symonds St. Live stream projection of improvised dance in response to a live performance of improvised sound.
Mano Rankin, 29th 30th Sept. 11am – 4pm. Virtual room, virtual reality install, back room of main bar, participation encouraged.
